I happened to be back at the store where I bought my skillet and asked about seasoning the pan. The pan I bought doesn’t need it. Evidently my issues were either related to operator (chef) error or bad eggs. I’m going with bad eggs. And the reason for my return to Williams & Sonoma? Steak knives. This weekend, moved up several notches from eggs and fixed steaks. Got familiar with the broil feature of my oven. Steaks came out amazingly great. Had planned on making Terry’s (actually Sheri’s) cake also but decided not to push my luck beyond steaks and baked potatoes. Baked potatoes were perfect. Microwave comes with a potato button. Amazing. I could get into this whole cooking thing. May even take a class. Well, no need to go nuts.
